Ch Czaber z Wielgowa, CGC, "Zoomie" to his friends,  ends his specials career to relax and be a stay at home dog.   After a very successful specials career, Zoom will now be able to romp and play and be a dog. He will occasionally make an appearance at a special show here or there.

Zoom began his show career in May of 2002 at one year of age, garnering back to back majors, owner handled, on his first weekend in the ring. In February of 2003 he began his specials career at the International Kennel Club of Chicago shows handled by Ken Murray.

He completed 2003 after 10 months of showing as Number 1 Polish Lowland Sheepdog in breed points and Number 2 in all breed points. His record for 2003 was an amazing 92 Best of Breed wins and 9 Best of Opposite wins, including Best of Breed at the 2003 AKC/Eukanuba Invitational and placing 4th in the Herding Group, being the only PON to date to place in the group at the Eukanuba.

His achievement as Number 1 PON in 2003 was accomplished with NO advertising and no padding of entries with filler dogs to increase breed points.  As Number 1 PON in 2003 he participated in the Westminster Kennel Club show in February of 2004, earning Best of Opposite Sex. He also had the honor of being one of the few Polish Lowland Sheepdogs up to that point to earn a Herding Group First.  2004 was a year of rest and relaxation for Zoom, only being shown 14 times, including the APONC National Specialty where he was awarded Best of Opposite Sex, owner handled. In spite of the limited amount of showing, he still was ranked as Number 8 Polish Lowland Sheepdog in both Breed and All Breed standings.  2005 brought changes in the form of a new handler after the retirement of Ken Murray, who is now pursuing his judging career.  Zoom was handled for the last time by Ken at the AKC/Eukanuba Invitational show where he was selected for an Award of Merit. In February of 2005 Amy Batzner, Ken Murray’s able and efficient former assistant began her solo professional handling career and Zoomie continued as her special.  In 8 months of limited showing Zoom and Amy won 30 Best of Breeds and an impressive 13 Group placements. At the end of 2005, Zoom was Number 3 in Breed ranking and Number 5 in All Breed ranking, again, all accomplished without advertising and in an honest and ethical manner.

My sincere thanks go out to Ken and Virginia Murray, Amy Batzner, the judges who appreciated Zoom's qualities and all of our friends who supported and encouraged us along the way.  Zoomie’s show career resulted in 135 Best of Breeds and 35 Group Placements. But most importantly, he IS and ALWAYS will be NUMBER ONE in my heart.
